Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Microbiology (MMIP), International Program

The Ph.D. Program in Medical Microbiology (International Program) offered by the Chulalongkorn Graduate School was launched in 2016 as a response to globalization. The program aims to produce graduates who have integrated knowledge in the field of medical microbiology including local and tropical diseases native to Thailand, novel disease-causing micro-organisms, re-emerging infectious diseases, the ever-increasing communicable zoonotic diseases in Thailand and neighboring countries. Apart from theoretical knowledge, the curriculum will develop students to have practical knowledge that can be applied in the real world in laboratory researches or field operations. Students will also be highly capable in proactive and reactive problem-solving as well as preventative measures. They will also be ready to pursue an in-depth approach to the field if they desire so in the future. Students' researches involving human and animal trials need approval from the Advising Committee to ensure ethical practice.
